A former hotel site in Meriden that has been eyed for an apartment redevelopment.
The project would include 40,000 square feet of common-use amenities.It belonged to Baymont by Wyndham hotel property with 150 rooms, at 275 Research Parkway , The building is under full-blown renovations to be Studio Apartments.
The buyer was New Haven developer Adam Haston, who earlier this year proposed a plan to redevelop the hotel into mostly micro-studio and one-bedroom apartments targeted at white-collar young professionals, according to the Record-Journal.
Outdoor spaces also have historic landmark status, such as the world-famous 1,800-acre Hubbard Park, designed by the designer of New York's Central Park. Meriden is home to 24 municipal parks, one of Connecticut's top 10 public golf courses, and three dedicated hiking, biking and running trails.
